VBF Fencers Win Seven Medals, Including Six Gold, at Commonwealth Fencing Championships 2026

India created history at the event by winning the overall championship trophy after securing an unprecedented 35 medals, including 13 gold. Six of these gold medals were won by VBF fencers: two gold medals each by R. Sherjin and Karan Singh, and one gold each by sabre fencers Shreya Gupta and Nikhil Wagh.
