Seven VBF Fencers to Represent India at the Fencing World Championships 2026
New Delhi, 21 July 2026: Seven fencers from the Vijayi Bharat Foundation (VBF) are representing India at the upcoming FIE World Fencing Championships 2026, scheduled to take place in Hong Kong, China from 22 to 30 July 2026. The VBF contingent includes four women and three men from the 24-member Indian squad at the event.
The VBF fencers are:
Mitva Chaudhari – Women’s Épée
RS Sherjin – Men’s Épée
Naorem Mina Devi – Women’s Foil
Kanupriya – Women’s Foil
Aditya – Men’s Foil
Shreya Gupta – Women’s Sabre
Karan Singh – Men’s Sabre
All seven athletes train at VBF’s High-Performance Centre in Ahmedabad and had also represented the country at the Asian Senior Fencing Championships that were held in New Delhi in June this year.
The strong representation of VBF in the Indian squad once again highlights the Foundation’s growing presence in the Indian fencing community and its commitment to building depth across all disciplines.
